Dr. Mary Lasater consults, trains and mentors personnel on best practices for students with disabilities in today’s classrooms. Topics include:
- Implementing best inclusive practices that include: differentiating instruction, cooperative learning as an inclusive instructional model, collaborative teaching, positive behavioral interventions and support (PBIS)
- Training paraeducators to enhance knowledge and skills in RTI, general education and special education classrooms
- Training teachers and administrators on mentoring paraeducators
- Training administrators on a process for determining the use of one-to-one paraeducators
- Planning on-going staff development for paraeducators using district resources
- Training-of-Trainers (TOTs) on paraeducators training resources (LifeLines, Power Paraeducators, Triplicity, & Melding)
- Consultation on strategies to work with students with autism
